New AI Tools Releasing October

Date: October 2, 2025

Welcome to your daily roundup of the latest AI releases and updates impacting the marketing, SEO, and video landscape. Today’s edition covers significant new tools from Squarespace and Yoast, the much-anticipated launch of OpenAI's Sora 2, and new research on the evolving role of AI in search.

AI in Marketing

The marketing landscape is rapidly evolving with the introduction of new AI-powered tools and strategies. Recent announcements highlight a clear trend towards automation, AI-driven content creation, and a strategic shift in how businesses approach online visibility. According to a 2025 Adobe report on AI and digital trends, 65% of senior executives identify leveraging AI and predictive analytics as primary contributors to growth.

The HOTH, a digital marketing agency, has launched AI Discover, a new program designed to help businesses adapt to the increasing influence of AI in online search. The program provides educational resources and practical strategies to improve visibility in AI-driven search results, such as Google's AI Overviews.

In other news, Clinch's Copilot was recognized with a 2025 Newsweek AI Impact Award for its ability to unify creative and media workflows and significantly accelerate time-to-market.

Meanwhile, ActiveCampaign has laid out its vision for autonomous marketing, with AI agents at the core of its strategy. This approach aims to shift marketers from building manual workflows to defining strategic goals, letting AI handle the execution.

The impact of AI on B2B marketing is undeniable. A recent report from Bain & Company highlights how AI can double the amount of time sellers spend actively selling by automating tasks that surround the sales process. This shift is also influencing marketing budgets, with some brands now opting for AI-generated imagery over traditional photoshoots to reduce costs, a trend reported by Marketing Brew.

AI in SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)

The world of search is undergoing a fundamental transformation with the rise of generative AI. This has led to the emergence of new optimization strategies and a debate around the terminology used to describe them. A recent Forrester report highlights that B2B buyers are adopting AI-powered search at three times the rate of consumers, ushering in a "zero-click" search era.

Squarespace has rolled out a suite of new AI-powered tools as part of its Refresh 2025 announcement. These tools are designed to enhance SEO and AI search visibility, with features like an AIO Scanner to track brand mentions across AI platforms and an SEO Scanner to audit and optimize website content. Other new tools include an AI Site Scanner to detect broken links, an AI Product Composer for generating product listings, an AI Discount Composer for sales recommendations, and an AI FAQ Composer to boost AI search visibility.

Yoast has also entered the AI-powered SEO tool market with the beta release of its AI Brand Insights tool. As part of the Yoast SEO AI+ package, this tool helps users understand how their brand is perceived and represented in AI-generated answers. It tracks brand mentions, sentiment, and competitor performance across platforms like ChatGPT.

This new landscape has given rise to the term Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). However, some argue that Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is a more accurate term, as it focuses on the ultimate purpose of these AI systems: to provide answers.

AI in Video

The field of AI video generation has taken a significant leap forward with the launch of OpenAI's Sora 2. We have been playing with this heavily the past 2 days and may post some examples soon. Although they are heavily water-marked, we can at least show the power (and fun) of the new model. This new model is more realistic and controllable than its predecessor, with the ability to generate physically accurate videos with synchronized dialogue and sound. Sora 2 is being released as a standalone, invite-only iOS app in the US and Canada.

One of the most notable new features of Sora 2 is the Cameo feature, which allows users to insert their own likeness and voice into AI-generated videos. The Sora app also includes social features, such as a TikTok-style feed and the ability to remix other users' creations.

In a related development, an AI-generated actress named Tilly Norwood was recently unveiled, generating both excitement and concern within the entertainment industry. This highlights the growing trend of using AI to create synthetic media and the ethical questions that arise from it.
